similar experience in Golden ... Fri. & Sat. about 70. Sunday the temp dropped to the 30s and then 20s Sun. night. 3" of snow fell Monday morning.

Spring? :?

Its an abomination I tell you. I think I may go sacrifice a stink pot to the sailing gods for good luck.

The boat is scheduled to return to the lake tomorrow!!!! I checked my records and I launched in on April 15 last year but because of rain I really didn't get to sail for another two weeks. This year looks a bit more promising so far (although this is the mountains so we could have what the locals call "Blackberry Winter" and snow again between now and mid May.

had my first Colorado sail of 2014 yesterday -
chatfield sailing.jpg

on Chatfield Reservoir on the south-west 'corner' of greater Denver. winds were about 15 with gusts 18-20. wonderful sailing.

up at 9000' Lake Dillon is still under many feet of snow and ice ... likely not get on that lake until June (unless May runs warm and it quits snowing).

Looks like you could use some water. The ice is mostly out in Central Wis on the rivers. The lakes up North still have ice. Next week is the start of fishing season on those lakes. I don't think most will be fish able. It was warm enough yesterday to work on my boat but not today. I am eager to get it in to the water. I have some painting and epoxy work but it is way to cold for that.

Looking forward to warmer weather

actually Chatfield is full ... the top of the dam is MUCH higher than the lake. reported level is 5,431.9ft (above sea level). capacity is 5,432'.
