I may look into this as well. I don't normally run the motor for more than a few minutes and I have purchased a "battery maintainer" that I can keep on the battery when I am in the slip. That should always insure I start with a full charge. The only time I use the motor for anything of any length is a few times when I was a mile or so from the marina, the wind has absolutely died and I need to get back in. Also, I run it for about 10 minutes twice a year when I am launching the boat for the spring or pulling it out in the winter.

BTW, I saw the Torgeedo motor in Annapolis. That seems like an ideal solution except for me the fact the motor cost three times what I paid for the boat and I have a really hard time justifying that cost!!!
