I agree at 110%!. Small boat sailing as a way to grace the spirit more than the ego! It is also one of the more peaceful thing that exist....As long as we don't turn into pirates!....

A man met a pirate in a bar. The pirate had a wooden leg, a hook and an eye patch. They began talking and the man asked the pirate how he lost his leg. Aye matey said the pirate, I was trying to plunder a British Merchantman and my leg was shot off by a cannon ball. He then asked him how he lost his hand. Well, said the pirate, I was fighting with a French ship off the coast of Africa and the captain of the ship cut my hand off with his cutlass. Wow said the man, you have been in some serious fights. Tell me, how did you lose your eye? That was caused by an insect flying into my eye said the pirate. A bug!! said the man, a bug took your eye? Well said the pirate, it was the first day I had the hook.

Maybe that's the Canadian version
No, I couldn't remember the exact punch line but I knew that something had gotten into his eye. Since we have far more no see ums in these hills than seagulls that was the first thing that came to mind
