Norman!... I finally recieved my issue and read you article! I really enjoyed it. You are a born story teller with a fine sense of humor. I was happy to see your boat and you at the same time...Even if you were about a mile away on the photo!...

Finally received my copy yesterday. Of course I had to start with page 16. What an adventure you had getting the boat wet. Noticed you also had a letter in the Reader Mail. Twice in the same issue. Well done Sir.

Thanks to both Michel and JacquesR. I am glad you both liked it. As you are aware Michel, I am now looking for a good spot to invest my royalties from the article!

He left a few items out of the story like the fact my brother in law jumped out of the boat when it started to capsize and then couldn't get back in and I had to tow him to the ramp! I said it was The Old Man and The Sea. He said he was glad we weren't back in Florida because everyone would have thought I was trolling for gators!

You are looking for a good investment? That small trailer sailer could be for sale!

By the way, as long as your brother in law was not bleeding, he was safe from sharks and gators...I think! ;)

Ummm, I might have to upgrade my car to pull that one and that would put me over budget!

I don't know about the blood issue with sharks and alligators. When I was a teenager living in Jacksonville Florida we would go swimming in the surf at the beach right next to fishermen pulling in hammerhead sharks. Most were small, under five feet but no one was really concerned about the sharks, the Portuguese Man of War jelly fish would do a lot more damage.

I know a few years ago an alligator in a retention pond at Disney World in Orlando killed a young boy who was wading in the pond (despite multiple signs and warnings). I played golf at a course in Vero Beach ONCE that had every waterhole teaming with alligators. If I hit a ball that landed within 20 feet of the hole I would just reach in my bag and pull out another ball and take a stroke!
