we got lucky!

Post by Art Haberland »

Here in the Mid-Atlantic Region, we all got very lucky with the latest storm. They were forecasting it to sit offshore, build, and then come back to land, but it appears that it decided to go out to sea after all. Very very lucky

The Everglades are replenished by these storms so there is always a silver lining, however tarnished it may be!!

Hi All,

Just a note to say that SCA columnist Hugh Horton reports he made it through the storm without any wind or surge damage at his place. Electricity is back on as well. Although surge did plenty of damage in Cedar Key generally.

The smaller the boat the bigger the adventure.

Glad to hear that. Cedar Key is a pretty place but very flat and I would think any storm surge would have had disastrous results
