That's me!...

Post by Michel »

It is so rare that I get a picture of my boat under sails!

A pride that non sailors will never enjoy. More's the pity for them

I think that nothing can compare to sailing. It is unique and it is very different from say driving something.

Nice. With the glimmer on the water, even more so.

As you say, it's hard to get a picture of your own boat from the water.

Well, I have this one.

If you look real close you will see the Master and Commander of the Lusty Slogger smoking a cigar. Right after this photo was taken I tacked and changed the cigar from one hand to the other. When I did I inadvertently turned the cigar around and then stuck the lighted end in my mouth!! Fortunately, I had about an inch of ash on the end of it and tasted the ash before the fire hit my tongue!!!

Nice pic Lusty! 8-)

But... Why not make the smart choice like Albert here:

And smoke the pipe instead of the cigar?... ;)

Actually, I do smoke a pipe (a meerschaum I have been smoking for about 10 years now is my favorite) but a cigar is easier to keep lit and handle on a small boat. I smoked a pipe when I was in the Navy and one day when a friend dropped his over the size I was laughing so hard I dropped mine over the side as well!!! Now, I only smoke a pipe on board when the boat is at the dock

Oh, and by the way, those photo's of yours trump mine completely.

Maybe everyone should post a photo of your boat in action!
