So I did it... ordered the plans to the Marsh Cat

Post by Art Haberland »

Like I did not have enough projects to work on...

SeaSprite 23 refit
1987 Saab Transmission replacement
CLC eastport nesting pram Build
It is going to take a backseat to those projects.. but I Had the money and I wanted to get the plans.

I always had a thing for Catboats, I think they are lovely creatures, but it is hard to sail one for a long deepwater cruise.. the 16 foot Marsh Cat should enable me to do small back bay cruises and even trips behind my landrover to anywhere it will reach.

I am going to have to control myself not to just jump into the build

I am not sure if Joel White would appreciate it, but I do intend on making a small change.. I want to incorporate a small "cabin" to her.. much like the "veranda" on the SCAMP. I have Crohnes, so having a semi-private place to put a potti is a must

A dodger could do the job and it could be folded down when not needed. :)

that is a good thought too.. and could be made larger for better "camping" than a smaller veranda

I am sure that there are models big enough for the task. 8-)

I have to say I am always delighted with how fast The wooden boat store ships. I ordered it on the 19th.. and 2 days later, it arrives. From Maine to the southern tip of New Jersey...
