Here is an irony. I did a search for my boat and the South Portland Sailing Center has a the Paceship P-12 in their fleet
and you can call they have the main sheet rigging at the stern

edit: I have been thinking -- the book actually extends to the stern, if not just a bit past it, which would make it pretty easy to do.

Re: Rigging and main sheet position
That mainsail sheet rig off the stern I believe is called a "Cosby" (spelling) after the Cape Cod builder. My McVay Falcon was rigged like that, but I changed it to run forward on the boom and down to a swivel/cam on the center board housing. Lets me sit more towards the center of the cockpit for better trim.

Re: Rigging and main sheet position
Hi,
I am about to purchase a Paceship P12. It seems to be intact, and in good condition but the traveller needs to be replaced. From your comments, it looks like there are some options for setting it up with the main sheet.
Could you tell me what you think the best set up is?
Also, the mainstays aren't staying in the shrouds. It looks like there is
a hole at the end of each shroud for some kind of fitting which would hold the stays in place. Do you know what that fitting is?
AND, one more question. The line for the centerboard has been cut short so I can't lower it without losing the line inside the boat. Is there a way to attach a new line? All I can think of is to sew fishing line to the cut end, dropping it down, replacing the line and attaching the fishing line to the new line then pulling it back through.
Any feedback would be appreciated!

It sounds like a excellent plan...
