Any idea why they cancelled it? The link I have said they didn't know and wouldn't speculate. However, one of the links in the link says it was because Water Tribe didn't know where everyone was.
Jackie Monies is talking to the organizers of the EC, Fla parks people, participants, and the Coast Guard. She has been asked to write an article for SCA taking the long view. So, soon we'll know more and have a better picture of what happened. Untill then the most important thing is that no one was seriously injured.
The river is finally breaking up! Should be in the water beginning of April although Georgian Bay will not loose the ice till the end of April! Best/Roy
