I told John I couldn't put it on my boat but I could hang it in my office!! He drove me crazy with the measurements but it fits like a glove and gets more compliments than anything else on the boat.

Here is a photo of it on the boat

Beautiful woodwork. I was just watching some Youtube videos of a restored Alberg 30 and Triton Atom. I like the combination of wood and fibreglass, and especially in a smaller boat you can really focus on quality on he wood trim and still have time for sailing. Margaret is outside in the boat now doing some land sailing. :-)

We are going to a 420 regatta in Halifax this weekend, but we will have the Yngling in the water for next weekend. The keel is in good shape except for a couple of spots on the leading edge and also the bottom. The 4 pad screws on the trailer are well greased and work really well to lift the boat up so I can even work under the keel as well as under one pad eye at a time. A little nervous lifting the full weight with the pad eyes but it is only 1400 pounds. I can still jam a block of wood under the end of the keel I'm not working on. I won't go too crazy this year. Just grind it down where it is needs and seal with epoxy then fair with epoxy and filler.

The wood work in the cockpit will wait until we are sailing. I think I might even take what we need with us to do a little undoing and sanding and sealing and refitting while at anchor this summer. Will also do lots of interior design brainstorming while cruising and camping this summer. Just a simple tarp over the boom this summer, but lots of dreaming of what we might do for next summer. It already has some nice shelves under the deck in the cockpit above the side tanks. Here is Margaret and our cat Gracie land sailing...
