Hi guys,
on Sunday 31st June I launched my Scamp finally. I'm so happy, you can't imagine!
I don't have the "original" sail due to the shipping & taxes for sails from USA to Germany, sadly...
The tests were on a small lake with 2-3 Bft under full sail w/o water ballast, nearly no waves.
I discovered a tacking angle of nealy exact 100°. Is that OK for a Scamp?
Please share your experiance!
best, Martin

She looks fantastic, Martin!
The colours look just like #1... can't beat that combination!!!
I think 100 degrees of tacking angle is about my average, too. There's usually some current in my sailing waters (I hope to sail her on a lake this summer, just for fun), so every tack is different, smaller one way, bigger going the other ... some days I can get a series that are almost 90, and then there are days I can't even get 110.
All the best in your adventures with her,
Dale
