Re: The Voyage of Southern Cross blog
Big day yesterday. My boat and full voyage gear departed by semi truck to Miami and for the Strait of Magellan but not without trouble and related heartache (however momentary). Time to ad lib, I guess the voyage has started.

Anybody hear from Howard recently?
I have been checking the pocketyacht site but no updates beyond the launch and move to the museum area...
What a fine and inspiring project!

They (Howard and Southern Cross) shoved off last week. There are some pictures of the days spent waiting for a weather window on John Welsford's facebook page.

Re: The Voyage of Southern Cross blog
Great to read that Howard's voyage has started. Would be nice to see pictures of those beautiful places but I guess we have to wait until his return. Hope that he can deal with the elements there. Must not be that warm at the Strait of Magellan.

Re: The Voyage of Southern Cross blog
Howard continues to amaze and inspire small boatmen of all levels of experience, worldwide...
It's along the lines of "whenever you go out, a little bit of me will be at your side now, right?" I am totally impressed with his rugged independent, yet humble style..

Oh no! (Check out the SCA blog) Wishing Howard all the best. I hope Southern Cross can be saved. I'm sure glad Howard called for help.
