Sailors!
Any other small boat sailors in the Chesapeake Bay and tributaries out there?

Re: Chesapeake and Mid Atlantic Small Boat Sailors
I can throw a rock from the back of the building I'm in right now and hit the Susquehanna River . . . but it's still a five hour trailer trip by car to get to the Bay proper.
THE ADMIRAL and I are moving back down in boats to trailerable once again and hope to dip our Mud Hen back in the Bay in the future. We just brought her home to Upstate NY from Chestertown, MD last month.
We had one several years ago and it was a HUGE mistake to sell her.
Had a ComPac 16/II back around 1982 to 1984. Soild little boats. We used to trailer around Easter every year to the C. Bay with two other couples and spend a week getting a jump on our New York sailing. Mostly with a Nimble 20 and then a 24.
We've been fixed-keel and marina bound since 1995 (Pearson 27-2, Catalina 34 & Pearson 31-2). All great boats but BIG headaches for storage and maintenance. What a relief to push the Mud Hen into the garage by hand and work on her after supper. Boatwork has never been so fun!
Perhaps we can scrape up a small group for a Bay Sail in 2015?

Hello and yes, definitely interested!
I've also tried stirring up some Monty interest over on trailersailor, but so far only one reply. Keep me posted...

Hello,
I'm also interested meeting and sailing with other small boat sailors in the area.

I am about 100 miles due east of Baltimore. I would be up for a get together sometime this summer if I had some warning. otherwise I will be over in the fall for the Small Boat Festival in St. Michaels
