finally got around to downloading some of my pics..
It started out as a nice sunny and warm October day when the fleet went out for their "race" otherwise known as "The parade"
Aside from one of those superyachts looming out in the eastern Chesapeake, all was good.
The start was 1ish, and after three cannon shots (10min, 5min, and start) they were off.
well, some of them were...
While not racing, Chesapeake Light Craft had their "Nanoship" out. For a tubby thing, she has a sleek underwater profile and enough canvass to lift her skirts and go.
Other notables were:
A beautiful wooden Thistle (I think this boat was for sale in Cape May Recently)
A Joel White MarshCat
A beautiful Coquina:
I think this was a Comet (or her small sister?)
I think this was a nomans land boat
Not sure what she is, other than pretty
And even the Kayakers got their race.
I could have sworn I got pics of the cardboard boat race. including the winner of the coveted "submarine award" but I can't find them on my camera
