Wherry updates

I have to sadly admit, I have been working on a CLC Expedition Wherry for years now. I have gone months in not working on it as I sorted through what I wanted to do with it and how. One of the biggest changes from the plans was that I made it a take apart. The Bow and Stern separate from the cockpit section to make it easier to handle, load, and store.

For the first time in over a year, she is in one piece. I still have to finish up the cockpit before I can glue down the deck.

I still have a world of sanding ahead of me to get the hull perfectly fair, but I hope to finally debut her at this years Small Craft Festival in St. Michaels Maryland.

just a small update. The cockpit buoyancy tanks are now painted so I can seal them up.

I got the cockpit buoyancy tanks sealed. Now I have more sanding to do.

I also added two more studs to help secure the ends onto the cockpit. Last thing I wanted to do was hit a wave and have the front fall off.

sanding.. lots and lots and lots of sanding. I am aiming for a debut at Saint Michaels in two weeks, so I spent the day sanding and filling. Still need to paint, add trim, and varnish.

Beautiful!

I like the ability to take it apart.
