Josh Colvin, our intrepid editor, is sailing one of the EC (End Cancer) Ducks the 200 miles in the Texas 200.

I do not know Mike Monies but I do know his articles. He has brought a lot of joy to me on what he has written. My prayers go out to him.

Small boats have brought a lot of joy into Mike's life as well. The friendships we have made continue to bring joy, even on really bad days.
I told Mike at lunch when he had finally gotten up but was sitting too nauseated to talk that we were going to hold Sail Oklahoma 2014 this year, come hell or high water. Everyone said to just forget it but I told Mike "No way." Not holding it would be admitting defeat and we are not going to be defeated.
So, for better or worse, this year can be blamed on me! But small boat sailors are tough people and I told Mike he will be there in October. I know he wishes he were with all our friends on the Texas 200 too.
