I've been through all my back issues and checked the index on the web site . . . . is it possible you guys have never done a review of the Com-Pac Sun Cat? I remember reading it . . . then my memory aint what it used to be. http://smallcraftadvisor.com/message-bo ... e=post&f=5#

There is a used one that is calling to me - never sailed a cat boat before.

That is an interesting boat IMO. Very easy to rig apparently. Nice looks also. My main concern would be about it's pointing ability but this would not be a problem if the sailing take place where upwind pointing is not that important. ;)
The boat looks very solid and stable. 8-)

I have not sailed a Sun Cat, but encountered one whike sailing a Dovekie. While we weren't "racing", we were both trimming sails and concentrating on making our boats go. The Dovekie was noticeably faster on all points in about 10 kts of wind. Things might have been different in different conditions...

Hi John,

We did a feature review of the Sun Cat in issue #12. See link below. It's one of our favorite production boats. —Eds
