SCA Saying!

Post by Michel »

"The smaller the boat, the bigger the adventure" . I agree totally!

I also say: "The simpler the boat, the easier the adventure"!... ;)

That makes sense to me! :)

Couldn't agree more. That's why I chose the Sandpiper. No complicated plumbing, no through hull, easy to rig and maintain, easy to trailer. The perfect sailboat for me.

Hey Jacques! :)
I sailed one for many years! I loved everything about that little boat. It was perfect for me but, when my marina (five minutes from home) closed down. I decided to sell her! It is not really a trailer sailer! It is not the kind of boat you want to rig and launch at the nearby ramp for a few hours sail!
So I got that old Tanzer 16 who fit my actual needs. I rig and launch at the ramp for zero cost and the boat sleeps at home. No worries about motor boats wakes, storms or flooding at the dock.
I sometime dream about a smaller boat with a simple lug rig! Total freedom! ;)
