added a new camera mount

Post by Art Haberland »

I was never happy with where I put the camera mount on my Kayak. Being up on the foredeck, I needed to get all my weight forwards and then lean over to change cameras or start another video session. While I never dumped in doing so, all my weight up in the skinny end did make the boat a bit unstable.

So, I made a nice little cedar block to span between the cockpit combings to hold both my camera mount and a Phone mount so I can use navionics while paddling.

Now I just need to wait a couple more weeks till I can finish healing up from my surgery and I can get back out. I can lift my kayak without pain, but I do not know about loading it off and on the Landy or maneuvering it around, so I will just wait till I am certain I won't hurt myself.
