Hatches!

We need stinkin hatches!
With my being unable to go sailing or kayaking due to my imminent surgery to fix a hernia, I have turned to finishing up my Chesapeake Light Craft Expedition Wherry. As I have deviated quite a bit from the standard plans, I decided to do away with the flush mounted hatches and went with raised mahogany ones, held in place with rare earth magnets.
I still need to send this by my router, varnish or install the magnets. but it gives you an idea.
