Just sailing around

Keeping on with the Canadian content, I got my Siren 17 into the water on May 31 at a marina on the south shore of Lake Nipissing here in Ontario and it is nice and snug at its slip where I have been for the last three years. It's an interesting area to sail but with many islands and rocks you have to be careful, there are very few shorelines that are not solid rock. Especially tricky with the lake at a lower than normal level and still going down.
So far I have been out four times and hope to get out again tomorrow. Lake Nipissing is quite a large lake and well known for sudden changes in wind direction and speed so you have to keep a close eye on the weather and this is further complicated in the area that I sail due to all the islands and a very high steep western shoreline that really affects the wind.
Of course that's all part of the fun and the challenge of sailing and I'm looking forward to a long season this year, just sailing around.
