Hello. I'm thinking of building another small boat, didn't think I'd get the itch again.
I'm here to learn some stuff and maybe ask some questions.

Welcome. What kind of boat are you looking to build.

I am quite intrigued by John Welsford's Long Steps. That boat has significant adventure boat and day sailor potential.
My wife likes Ross Lillistone's Periwinkle best and I just might too.
With my underwhelming skill set, limited talent and troublesome back the KISS method will serve me best.
This leaves the Boobie Prize to the CLC Southwester Dory. I'm being harsh, it is nice and I already have a CLC Skerry.
The Skerry is not comfortable for me, lacks crew-passenger capacity and flotation IMO.
I want to teach the grandkids to sail and when old enough to have a vessel to take on adventures in the San Juan Islands.

If you like the southwester Dory and you already have the CLC Skerry, have you thought about the Guider or the Expedition Skerry?

The Guilder is beyond my budget and the E S Doesn't really fit my requirements.
