Books Books and More Books

Post by lustyslogger »

I see Michel and I have similar taste in books. I thought that was clever showing the books in a pile. Has everyone been getting the emails of readers collections? I had a good collection of books (which I "donated" to the Cherokee Lake Sailing Club in Tennessee) but I don't have 25% of the books shown in these collections.

We all are very well educated sailors! ;)
This is not my whole collection by the way! I am re-re-re-re-reading Tinkerbelle at the moment! ;)

I have a whole bookcase of unread books. It used to be two, but the pandemic was actually helpful here!

I wish I could share a picture of my nautical book collection - 100+. Almost all are in boxes and stored. As a liveaboard on a 25' on deck sailboat don't have the space aboard to display my library.

OK, so what is your favorite sailing book? My favorite is "The Compleat Cruiser" by L Francis Herreshoff. I love the way he thinks 13 year old daughters talk to their fathers!

One of my favorite books is "The L200 millionaire" by Weston Martyr. It is a collection of short stories probably most famous for the main story which is "The L200 millionaire". I've read and enjoyed most of the stories in the book, but one that is particularly clever is titled, "Smith versus Lightensteiger".
