I would love to read a review about the Siren 17.
This is a very popular small cruiser up here in Canada.
I had the pleasure to sail on one once and I was pleased by it's handling and confort!

Went to see a Siren 17 before I bought my Piper. Seats in the cockpit are very low. My knees didn't like that. Also, access to the interior is not easy. You almost have to crawl to get inside. Not for me but certainly for ethers to consider.

Josh's greatest challenge to do a review is finding a boat. When he travels he will visit as many boats as he can (2020 has bee an interesting year for traveling ... ).
The old Lake Havasu get together was a great opportunity for him to see many many boats - nothing equivalent now exists.
If anyone knows of a Siren 17 in the PNW Josh may be able to arrange something for 2021 (if the COVID gets better controlled and maybe if the CN let us poor US residents to again visit). Send Josh an email with contact info.

I agree about the getting inside but I found the cockpit seats very confortable! It realy depends on the individual!...

I think the prevalent small boats in Canada (under 20 feet) are the Sandpiper 565 and the Siren 17. We don't see Potters, Montgomery, Compacs, etc. There could be some rare ones but I never saw any of them!

well, if I had gotten my Monty registered before the virus hit, I would have made up that way (not into canada obviously, but I would have done some Great Lake Sailing with my entire summer being free.

There are so many Siren 17 in Canada and in Quebec! I am sure that some readers of the magazine will be happy to have a review of their boat.
That pandemy has got to end someday!
