The local lake, that I rowed spark on, is not that big nor that deep. I can and have sailed Spark on it, but even with a 14 foot boat, you run out of room quickly.
I know that Optis are mostly used as a kids training and racing class, but what about one as something to kick around a 350 acre lake on those days I do not have time to drag spark out or it's just a tad too windy for her 138 sqf of canvas?

I learned to sail on Optis as an adult in my 20s. I remember being cramped and uncomfortable. But I did learn to sail pretty quick. Don"t think I would repeat the experience now that i"m in my 60s
