Finally!!

Post by lustyslogger »

For the first time in over two years I was able to actually go sailing for more than 10 minutes! It was picture perfect (at least for me). The temps were in the low 90's, the wind around 8 mph and scudding clouds. I only sailed for about 2 and a half hours but it was great. I did my usual dock show coming in however! I lined up on the slip absolutely perfectly. Motored in at the lowest setting and cut my motor 2 feet too soon! So, since the wind was on my nose at that point it was back into the cove for me for another try!!!

All in all, a good day.

It's because the boat hadn't enough! She wanted to sail a bit more! ;)

That has to be it. No way it could be a reflection of my seamanship skills!

I went back to the boat yesterday to make shipshape all those things I discovered needed to be done while sailing. I spent more time doing that than I did sailing Saturday! But you know what, to me just messing around in small boats is as much fun as sailing them. It looks nothing like Art's boat, which is a true work of "art", pardon the pun, but I enjoy just cleaning it and making it presentable.
