Light air cruising!

This is my 2019 season! Light air!!! But I try to do the best I can with it!
I did a cruise around some islands near Montreal on the Saint-Lawrence. About 15 / 18 km At very low speed! But I had a very nice day afloat.

I couldn't sleep so I got up and found this!
Between the softness of the guitar and the tranquility of the sail I am now nodding off.
Better than sleeping pills!

I love light air cruising. If I am sailing, I am not in a hurry to get anywhere..

Sometimes we need to wiggle the rudder to keep the momentum going! Sometimes, whisling a little helps bring some movement of the air!

Light air cruising is the best. You don't have to hurry. I have a bad back and every move I make while sailing must be made slowly so light air cruising is for me. Plus, you have more time to look around.

What I enjoy the most is enough wind to move well at all points of sail, without having to worry about an uncontroled jibe or something. I am also lucky to sail a boat who sail very good in almost no wind at all!
I am not the kind who wants to hike out or trapeze out of the boat! I reef as much as it is needed and sit calmly inside the boat.

A Sandpiper is at his best in about ten knots of wind specially if you have a working jib.
