Yesterday morning it was 19 degrees. Today it was 17. Last week it was in the 70's. Something's wrong here!!

it's cold and the cockpit of my boat is filled with ice from where the rain/snow storm the day before filled the tarp over it to the brim

OK, its Spring Time, with temps here in East Tennessee in the 70's. Lets hear some chatter about our 2017 sailing plans!!

Denver has moved to more spring-like weather 30s at night and 50s/60s during the day (even got some rain which we needed).

I went sailing last week!

Haven't been sailing yet, its varnish and polish time right now. I vanished the hatch covers, hatch slides and hand holds the other day. I also varnished the tiller and thought I had done an excellent job. Came back yesterday and found I had done an excellent job on the tiller, on the right side!!! There are two sides to a tiller - who knew!!

I confused Sailing my Scamp with the Iditarod race earlier last month. A cold but fun sail on the lake. The sails in the distance were racing, as I could not serve as an obstacle I steered well clear.

Well, I finally was able to get out! I went out on Good Friday and what a good Friday it was!! Temps were around 80 degrees (Some years this place is almost like Florida where you go from Winter to Sauna almost overnight!) I wasn't out for long, sailing from my slip to the Cherokee Lake Dam and back (about 4 miles round trip). I was out for about 90 minutes, just enough to remind me how pleasant being on the water can actually be!!
