In the March - April issue of Good Old Boat there is a review of the Sea Sprite 23. Since on of our group is restoring one of these I thought all may be interested.
Thanks

thanks, Lusty.. I have that issue, but have not gotten to it. I generally have about 4 magazines I read over a month's worth of breakfasts.

That is one gorgeous boat. Mine still looks like I have been hauling cow manure with it compared to this!!

I finally read the article.. and I have to say, there were a few inaccuracies and the comparison article to "similar" boats was unfair. They spent more time on that "shark" than the Sprite.
As for the inaccuracies, Flirt proves one of their "facts" wrong. They said the sprites had a small motor well to starboard. I know of many with a centred Motorwell, and Flirt does not have one at all. A little known fact of these boats is that they were designed for an inboard, but very few ever got that pricy option.
It's also why they all sit slightly bow down on their lines.
If I had done the comparison, I would not have compared her to the fin keeled shark. I think something like the Dolphin 24 would have been a more fair choice.
