Ride the Wild Ocean

Just finished my third small boat sailing in the Cape Cod area adventure story "Ride the Wild Ocean". This time the author sailing a 19 foot Goldeneye. He also sailed a Bullseye 15 from the Keys to the Dry Tortugas, a trip I had once considered in my Luger Leeward 16. A few things I have learned is (1) Sailing in New England is quite expensive (he paid $60.00 a night for a mooring a half mile off shore and $100.00 for a slip in a marina for one night. I pay $93.00 a month for my slip in Cherokee Lake. Secondly, the weather always seems to be bad in New England. This was what I have gathered from this book, "Bucking the Tide" and the Herresoff book "Compleat Cruiser"
Good book, well written. Nicely edited.
My problem is I read too fast and I still have several months to go before I can get back on the water (mid March if I am lucky, a two week window in April and then no wind until September). Since I keep buying books from SCA it cost me more not to sail than it does to sail!!!!
Read this book, its good.
