Where is Michel?

What has happened to Michel? He has disappeared. I hope he hasn't switched to hang gliding or rappelling. His videos were always a delight.

Michel, its spring time, wake up.

just because it is spring does not mean his boat is not still covered in snow

I am a lot farther south than Michel but although the water is open we had 5.5" of snow last night.

I will go out on a limb and say Michel is a warm water sailer.

If Michel takes offense at that, he will say something in French which I won't understand.

The water is very cold and I don't have a dry suit, that makes a person one mistake from never being on the Forum again.

Michel is a better sailor than I and I bet he is eager to get on the water like I am. He is also more prudent than I.

Hey, he has a fan club out here, he can't be letting us down like this!!

No seriously, last year he posted all winter or at least responded to post. I haven't seen any post from him in quite a while. I hope he is just hibernating and nothing untoward has happened to him.

I'm here! I'm here!... :D Just back from a short trip to Philadelphia, Washington DC and Baltimore. I had to get a feel of spring again because it doesn't want to show its face here in Quebec this year!

I am going to start preparing the boat soon and hopefully get her in the St-Lawrence water at about mid May.

How it was not so long ago! ;)

you were in my backyard.. I live outside of Atlantic City, Philadelphia is 40 minutes away from me. If I had known, I would have love to meet up for a sandwich or something.

Anyway, glad you did not take up some dangerous hobby like glass sculpting rather than sailing

That would have been nice! And you are right. I prefer not to get into dangerous hobbies. I think about stamp collecting.... Or boxing ;)

Ha ha!... :D Winter was very long this year. I was busy with my guitars and my Wing Chun Kung Fu school. A little depressed about having nothing to share on sailing!... But the good times are right there at the corner now!... ;)

There is something! I pulled the boat out of her corner beside the house and removed the tarp that was covering her. She is ready to be prepared for the new season. :) 8-)
