2014 Pocket Yacht Palooza! - First Experience

I've been working these past few weeks and just getting back to sailing.
I just have to share the great time I had in Port Townsend. I drove my Montgomery 15 from Salem OR to Port Townsend via Everett WA about 387 miles to participate in a gathering of Pocket Yachts and the good folks interested in such crafts.
I arrived Saturday morning in a thin overcast sky and a pleasant breeze on the Sound. I wheeled my boat out on to the Marine Center square and as I joined the captains preparing their boats for viewing I wondered. What am I doing? I drove up here and the wind on the water looks great. I should be sailing....
But I stuck it out and met a variety of terrific people all sharing a love for small boats that adventure on water.
I encourage you to consider this experience. Bring a boat or just come to visit. It was an experience that can only be captured in the word... PALOOZA!
