Re: Holidays
Over here at NYC (Nedlands Yacht Club) I get charged $1,229 per year for pen space (incl. taxes). That includes water and electricity on the jetty. The pen will accommodate a 9m boat, so my 6m boat kind of rattles around in there a bit. I've put a pre-emptive application in to the matrimonial finance committee to upgrade the boat to make better use of the space I am paying for - but I actually think a 20ft boat is about the right size for me.
The club has a trailer and ramp available for members to use for haulouts, free of charge for the first 28 days and then $10 per day thereafter.
On top of that I have to pay the $562 annual membership fees, but this gets me some insurance for racing, access to the club power boats, training facilities and function rooms. Oh, and cheap beer at the bar

Re: Holidays
I assume that is in Australian dollars. Converted to US dollars that is about the same as I pay. I pay a whopping $72.00 a year for club fees, which gets me nothing except a club burgee and a space to keep extra lines etc.mikeyroberts wrote:Over here at NYC (Nedlands Yacht Club) I get charged $1,229 per year for pen space (incl. taxes). Oh, the only way to get cheap beer is to buy it at Sam's!
