Hi Folks
Last fall I purchased an O'Day 192. Due to age of running rigging (all original) I decided it best to replace everything this winter. Obviously the halyards, sheets, etc all very easy to replace ... centerboard lanyard another story. Is there an easy way to replace it without lifting the boat off the trailer enough to drop the centerboard?
Any thoughts would be appreciated

Ask for Dave Kautz on the West Wight Potter forum at the trailer sailor site. He sails an Oday 192 and would probably know.

While I'm not familiar with the particular CB trunk arrangement on an O'Day 192, you may want to consider adding an access port in the side of the CB trunk, near the upper edge, in way of where the pendant attaches. Use a 4" hole saw and install one of the screw in deck plates (check the on line store at Duckworks Magazine - www.duckworksmagazine.com). For an idea of how this works, check out the Pocketship construction photos at Chesapeake Light Craft (www.clcboats.com) There is one of these access ports in that boat.
