Note the door in the cuddy-cabin roof a little bigger than the width of the mast. It was on hinges. I'd lift that which left a slot I could run the mast down to raise it, without having to lift the bottom of the mast above the cuddy-cabin roof to fit it down the mast step slot. I simply placed the bottom of the mast onto its step at an angle, and walked it up to vertical, placed a block, flipped back down the cuddy cabin slot door and proceeded to complete the set up of the rigging. Note the pulley and cam cleat to tighten the mains'l halyard and on the port side a similar cleat for the downhaul. A puff could get her sailing.622872_4817140951631_565780136_o.jpg
