I have access to Drafsight, which made by the same parent company as Solidworks. I don't know but I have a good feeling that if Draftsight cannot open the file it may be able to convert the file. Worst case if you could export to a DXF or DWG file I am sure I could get the information I need from the file.

Thanks,
Greg.

Hey Greg,

I've managed to export it as a png file. It should be the right dimensions if you print it at 300dpi. I'd check before you use it just to be sure though. Some of the contours are slightly incorrect, but it's only really meant for a guide anyway. Let me know if this file has what you need. I can also send you an svg, or try to export it as another format if you want. Hope this helps.

I can't attach a file of this size, so here's a google drive link:

Thank You.

I got the file. It should get me where I need to go.

My Centerboard didn't come out exactly true to the original design, but I figure it will be close enough, as I am not building an America's Cup Yacht.

Thanks again.
Greg.

Hey All,

New episode is ready. This time we turn the boat back over and set her down on her own two skegs for the first time. The rudder also gets the rest of its shaping done. Hope you enjoy.

Finishing off the rudder. Joining the two parts and getting the raising and lowering mechanism in place.

Enjoy.

We've finally started on the rig. Exciting times. I wasn't originally going to make the mast, but buy an aluminium pole, but thanks to coronavirus, I've decided to go with materials I can easily source, so wooden mast build it is.

This time we glue the staves together to form the mast, then plane and sand it to its final shape.

I've been watching your videos and have really enjoyed them. Your solutions and "good enough" will keep you sane. The point of sailing is to relax and enjoy not fuss over every little thing. Can't wait to see it in the water!
