Scamp sailing lessons

Post by Mike Green »

I purchased a Scamp and I would like to hire a seasoned Scamp skipper to help me get the most out her. I have no experience in dinghies or lug rigs and I want to learn how to sail my Scamp well in light and heavy air, possibly including capsize recovery if the instructor is inclined. I live in Seattle and can trailer the boat within the Puget Sound area where convenient for both of us. Please PM me if you are interested.

Good stuff, Mike!

I've got quite a few miles under my Scamp, and still learning. Sure hope you find resources, and someone to help! Not sure what Howard Rice has planned for this season, but I really learned a lot from his "Scamp Skills Academy" a few years ago. You could email him at:<THEPOCKETYACHT@YAHOO.COM>

All the best,

MIKE
Hi
It looks like I may be conducting a small craft skills seminar in Port Townsend this summer. This is a SCAMP specific seminar. Let me know if you might have an interest. I haven't done any advertising for it and in spite of this the course is almost full.
Let me know.
Thanks,
howard rice

Howard,

My PMs seem to be stuck my Outbox so I don't think you got my direct reply. Perhaps I cannot send PMs until I have a certain number of posts. Anyway, as mentioned above, I'm in.

Thanks again!
