2018 Gear/motor transport to Ketichican or Prince Rupert

Post by Team Buckeye_Rob »

as of now Team Buckeye is planning for a driver to drive our truck and trailer north after the race starts. We are considering staging it in Prince Rupert, Ca and then sailing back there at the end of the race as it appears to be less than 24 hours of sailing. It's pretty expensive to put the truck and trailer on the ferry to Ketchikan. However taking the truck and trailer all the way to Ketchikan isn't out of the question if there is enough interest. With that information if any one would like to put gear in our truck prior to the race start we are willing to help out for whatever contribution you feel is fair. We would like to get our outboard to Ketchikan so that we use it for the trip back to Prince Rupert, not sure if that is possible.

If we take equipment to Ketchikan I have a high school friend who lives there and can help us out with storage when it arrives. Of course we wont have details about this until much closer to the race start, and once we know how much gear we are taking.

Feel free to send me an email with contact info to Rob@robstone.me or my teammate J.T. Hawk at hawkj_29@yahoo.com or better yet copy both of us as he lives in Mississippi and I live in Ohio.

UPDATE 5/18/2018 here is link with info.
